This is a replacement steel bearing that will fit most hookahs out there. It is approx 1/4in diameter and is used inside the valve of the hookah stem. It keeps air from leaking inside the hookah when smoking, but allows air to be blown out thru the valve when you want to clear out the old smoke from the hookah base."
