• Some hookah pipe aficionados prefer to use a liquid other than water in the hookah base. You may experiment with juice, wine and milk (which all make the smoke thicker).
• Combining different flavors of shisha tobacco can be very satisfying. Banana and strawberry combines for a fruity mix reminiscent of a banana split while mango and lemon is sweet and tangy.
• Always keep your shisha tobacco in a cool, dry place (not a refrigerator) in an airtight container. Your shisha tobacco will last well over a year if stored properly.
• Combining shisha tobacco with honey provides satisfying hookah smoke.
• Placing ice cubes in the water can make for a mellower, smoother smoke. Squeeze a lemon or lime in the water during the summer for a cool treat.
• Be sure that your hookah pipe is on the floor - this is the traditional spot for your hookah, but more importantly, your hookah will not fall and shatter.
• Using a fork to make the holes in the foil is a quick and easy method.
   
• Clean you hoses by putting the hose grommet on upside down and pushing the hose up to a sink faucet. Push water through back into your sink.
